Our next stop on the We Will Get By Streaming Tour is the only place we can go—back to Deer Creek during the summer of 1994. Out of the Dead’s 30 year career, they have only played one day on July 20th.

After one of the more memorable shows at Deer Creek yesterday from the 1990 summer tour, today’s selection is regrettably one of the more forgettable shows. 1994 was not a good year for the Dead and this show is pretty typical. What does stand out is the post-drums section that is features a splendid “Morning Dew.”

As a matter of note, the show does feature a couple of debuts including “Childhood’s End” and a cover of “Mathilda.” Also, the show was plagued by terrible storms, followed by the sun breaking out. The Dead’s second set kicked off with three rain-themed songs followed up “Here Comes Sunshine.”
