Jam all-stars Spafford finished up the southern leg of their winter tour last week with stops in Birmingham and Oxford among others. On Thursday, the Arizona quartet landed in Knoxville, TN at the Bijou Theatre.
During their two sets, Spafford stretched out nine songs with seven of them surpassing the ten minute mark. During the first set, Spafford jammed hard on the J.J. Cale classic “After Midnight,” which featured some searing guitar solos from Brian Moss.
During the encore, Spafford put a funky, reggae spin on The Band’s timeless Bob Dylan penned song “I Shall Be Released.”
