Spafford, the jam all-stars hailing from Arizona were at the Ogden Theater in Denver this past weekend. Spafford’s website bills the band’s live performance as an “improvisational experience” and Denver got a clear cut definition of what that means.

The two sets that Spafford played clocked in at over two and half hours with just 14 songs on the setlist. Some of the tunes, like the opening cover of The Who’s “Eminence Front” clocked in over 30 minutes. Spafford went the distance with the Neil Young tune “War of Man” in the second set.
