Bowlive is alive and well at the Brooklyn Bowl in 2017! Soulive has set up shop every spring at the Brooklyn Bowl since 2010. Last year they weren’t able to make it happen, but last Soulive and a slew of special guests just finished up one hell of a return to Brooklyn. Bowlive VII included eight guest-filled nights at the Brooklyn Bowl with collaborations galore.
Bowlive night six included guitar hero John Scofield for the entire second set and a special sit in from guitar legend in the making, Marcus King. Between Scofield, King and Krasno, this was not a show to be missed.
Aside from Soulive originals, the three-headed guitar beast slayed the Allman Brothers Band classic “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.” All three guitarists has their turn during the extended 18-minute jam.
Marcus King also sat in for blazing renditions of B.B. King’s “Sweet Little Angel” and Bobby Bland’s “Turn on Your Love Light.”
