Before Tedeschi Trucks Band took the stage for their sold out fourth show during their Beacon residency, JJ Grey of JJ Grey and Mofro took the stage with just a chair and his guitar.
JJ Grey, a native of Florida narrowly missed Hurricane Michael and left the day before one of the worst storms in U.S. history ravished the Florida panhandle. With just a guitar and a microphone, JJ didn’t miss the opportunity to share his usual banter with a sold out Beacon Theater.
JJ’s set was only seven songs deep, but he made every second count on stage. You can tell how grateful Grey was for the opportunity to play at the Beacon ahead of TTB.
