Jackie Greene and his band, aptly titled Jackie Greene Band is wrapping up a tour on the 20th before heading down to Jazz Fest to reunite with Kimock, Burbridge and the rest of Voodoo Dead.

This stint of shows features a mix of covers and originals highlighting Jackie’s phenomenal guitar playing and some tunes with him on the keys. Greene has tucked in a Dead tune in nearly every set list. The crowd at the Turf Club in St. Paul were treated to a blistering “Bertha” and a tasty “Shakedown Street” encore. In addition to paying tribute to the Dead, Jackie and company did a killer cover of The Band’s “Ophelia” towards the end of the set.
