The Foo Fighters embarked on a world tour earlier this year. Earlier this week, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins died in Bogota at the unbelievably young age of 50. One of rock’s most talented drummers, Hawkins complained of chest pains and was unresponsive by the time the paramedics arrived.
The Foo Fighter’s appearance at Lollapalooza Argentina earlier in the week was Hawkins last with the band. Halfway through the show, Hawkins took the lead on a cover of Queen’s “Somebody to Love.” Afterwards, Dave Grohl shared just how he felt about Hawkins—“You know, the best thing about Taylor Hawkins… He’s the best fucking drummer in the world, we love him so much.”
