Widespread Panic a cast of other all-stars made their way to Mexico for Panic en lay Playa. One of the highlights of the annual Panic en la Playa is the late-night Playa Allstars sets.

This year the Playa Allstar line-up included George Porter Jr. on bass and vocals, Eric Krasno on guitar and vocals, Ivan Neville on keyboards and vocals, Cyrille Neville on percussion and vocals, Mark Mullins on trombone, Cochemea “Cheme” Gastelum on saxophone and Terrence Higgins on drums. Wow.

For their first of two late night sets at Panic en la Playa, the allstars jammed on variety of covers including Nirvana, Grateful Dead, CCR and more. Hearing Porter Jr., Krasno, the Neville brothers and more jam on Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box” is worth the price of admission alone.

In addition to the all-star cast, Leslie Mendelson and Luther Dickinson joined the gang in the wee-hours of the morning.
