Mike Gordon has assembled his band for a spring tour that extends through the end of March. Gordon’s lineup includes Scott Murawski on guitar and vocals, Robert Walter on keyboards and vocals, John Kimock on drums and Craig Myers on percussion.
For the opener, Gordon played plenty of originals over the two sets including the debut of “Acid Man.” Much to the delight of the Variety Playhouse, MGB played the Talking Heads’ “Cities” which is a Phish staple.
In the second set Gordon and the boys rook on the Led Zeppelin tune “D’yer Mak’er.” The short but sweet version slipped into the funky “Say Something.”
