Jimi Hendrix set up shop at the smaller venue at the Capitol Theater, Garcia’s for a night of Jimi Hendrix music. The gig was billed as a 50th anniversary to Jimi’s iconic record Electric Ladyland.
In addition to Taz and his band, there were plenty of special guests at Garcia’s on Saturday night including Doug Wimbish on bass (Living Color, Sugar Hill Gang), Marcus Machado on guitar (DMD, Marcus Miller) and Joe Stuby on guitar (Buddy Miles, Bernie Worrell.)
“Taz” is a near-perfect embodiment of Jimi Hendrix and his spirit is definitely present at this show.
