Watch New York’s own, take the stage for the first time after a 5-year hiatus. LCD Soundsystem made their official comeback last night at NYC’s Webster Hall.

While the video and audio isn’t the greatest, you can definitely feel the energy and anticipation from the hall waiting for James Murphy and the rest of the system take the stage. Watch them open with their first track off of their 2007 LP, Sound of Silver – Get Innocuous.

LCD Soundsystem is the killer headliner at a couple of festivals this summer including Coachella and Lollapalooza. The band announced a couple of comeback shows appropriately (if not a tad pretentious) titled “Back from the Dead” on Easter Sunday. Judging from last night’s footage, LCD Soundsystem has risen indeed.
