Warren Haynes’ tribute to The Last Waltz came and went all too fast. The brief, but incredible run of shows reminded us of what an amazing body of music The Band shared with us.

The Last Waltz 40 Tour included a gig with Joan Osborne and most notably, original The Band member Garth Hudson on the keyboards.

For the tour finale in Oxon Hill, Garth Hudson joined the band one more time. While the setlist didn’t change much from night to night, during the nights when Garth sat in there was one remarkable break from the regular show—Garth’s organ intro to “Chest Fever.”

Thanks to Tom Libera, we have excellent footage of Garth, 79 years young, jamming on the organ as if he was 50 years younger.
