Watch Phish’s Third SPAC Show – 7/3/2016 Soundboard Quality

Phish finished their run at SPAC in Saratoga Springs last night.

The show included a few bust-outs that haven’t been played in 50+ shows including:

Sparkle – 52 show gap
Soul Shakedown Party – 53 show gap
Show of Life – 84 show gap

One thing is clear about the shows this tour: Phish are playing music that they want to play. No one has a clue in which direction their set-lists are going to go and they are pulling out tunes they normally wouldn’t play. It’s exciting to see them trade in the phan-favorites for songs they want to stretch out, experiment with and head in new directions.

That being said, check out that MOMA Dance in the second set!

Watch Phish’s Full SPAC Show – 7/1/2016 Soundboard Quality

Phish kicked off their long awaited tour at SPAC in Saratoga Springs last night with a bang. After getting their sea legs over at the beginning of the tour, Phish found their groove last night and delivered a monster show.

The first set clocked in at over two hours and was filled with phan-favorites like Cities, Free, Bathtub Gin and included the debut of another new tune, “Let’s Go.”

Check out the “Chalk Dust Torture” with Trey on Marimba Lumina and Mike on keys towards the beginning of the second set.

Watch Dave Matthews Band’s ‘Epic Wailing Version’ of Seek Up

Dave Matthews Band is no stranger to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, having played 37 shows there since 1994. This particular show at SPAC in 2001 stands out because of the performance of Seek Up that DMB tucked into the middle of the show.

Affectionately referred to as the “epic wailing version” of Seek Up, Dave goes bonkers at the 11:50 mark and the entire bands kicks it up a notch to match his energy. If you can’t decipher that signature Dave Matthews wail, I found an attempt at transcribing the lyrics. See below:
