We got a preview of the Eric Krasno Band and Marcus King Band tour a couple of weeks ago in Jamaica when both bands supported Gov’t Mule at Island Exodus. After listening to this show at The Acoustic in Bridgeport, CT you’ll agree that their chemistry was no fluke.
After a set of mainly originals, including new songs off Krasno’s new album, Eric Krasno Band welcomed Marucs King and his horn section to the stage for a couple of covers including Grateful Dead’s “Sugaree” and Buddy Miles’ “Changes.” “Changes” is best known as one of the songs off the the live album Band of Gypsys that Jimi Hendrix did with Buddy Miles and Billy Cox.
Krasno is more than capable of holding his own on these tunes, but the addition of King’s guitar and soulful vocals totally push them to a new level.
