After a blistering night in Eugene, OR, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead continued their Pacific Northwest run in Redmond, WA. JRAD traveled to the serene Marymoor Park Amphitheater last Saturday which was the second show in the three night Pacific Northwest run.

The boys started off with a jam that built into a peak before the opening lyrics to a sultry “Crazy Fingers” that included a Coltrane “Love Supreme” tease.

JRAD included plenty of other nuggets throughout the show including a Soundgarden and Kenny Loggins tease in the sprawling “Throwing Stones” encore.

Listen to Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Blazing St. Louis Opener – 2/15/2019 AUD

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead made the second stop of their winter tour in St. Louis last night. JRAD performed their first of two shows at The Pageant in the midst of a winter storm.

While it may have been cold outside, it was blazing inside in The Pageant. JRAD dropped nearly three hours of good ol’ fashioned Grateful Dead and other covers on the St. Louis fans. Tom Hamilton eased the crowd into a 18-minute rendition of Jerry Garcia Band’s “Cats Under the Stars” to kick off the first set.

JRAD tucked in plenty of goodies into the two sets including a cover of Bob Weir’s “Gonesville” from his newest record, a rare second set “Jack Straw” and the rare “Never Been to Spain” cover to cap the night off.

Watch Oteil Burbridge and John Kadlecik Jam on “What’s Become Of Mary > How Sweet It Is” at The Funky Biscuit – 2/7/2019 AUD

The John Kadlecik Band did a pair of shows at the Funky Biscuit in Boca Raton, FL earlier this week. JK had Dead and Company bassist Oteil Burbridge in tow for the shows as well.

In addition to Kadlecik and Burbridge, Jay Lane was on drums, and Benjie Porecki on keys. JK and his crew jammed on some Dead and JGB material including a rocking “What’s Become of Mary > How Sweet It Is” to end the first set.

Listen to Dead and Company’s Blazing Second Night in Mexico – 1/19/2019 Full Show

After taking a breather on the 18th, Dead and Company returned for the second of their three night run in Mexico. After nearly a 6-month break, the boys didn’t take long to gel. This summer tour is going to be HOT!

The highlights of night two came in the second set with Dead and Company busting out the elusive “The Eleven.” Another highlight was Mayer destroying the guitar solo on the second set closing “Morning Dew.”

Watch Phil Lesh and Friends Rock the Apollo Theater – 9/7/2018 Full Show Video

Phil Lesh and his crew just finished a whirlwind three-day run that included some of the top venues in NYC. The run started in Central Park, then headed up north to The Capitol Theatre and then last night, Phil, The Terrapin Family Band and his crew of friends and special guests hit up Harlem and played a benefit show at the legendary Apollo Theatre.

With the November mid-terms right around the corner, Headcount is out in full-force, getting the word out to vote. Billed as a benefit concert for Voter Participation, Phil was joined by The Family Terrapin Band and was joined by special guests including Eric Krasno, Nicki Bluhm, Talib Kweli, Robert Randolph and The Harlem Gospel Choir.

Phil, always up for a new crew of friends, treated Harlem to two sets of Dead and a handful of covers including a few Bob Dylan tunes.
