Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks Fireside Live tour continued last night in Elmer, NJ at the Appel Farm Arts and Music Center.

While there were plenty of originals played, Susan and Derek covered a pair of Derek and the Dominos tunes and a Blind Faith tune.

Listen to Tedeschi Trucks Band Cover the Allman Brothers Band in Tennessee – 6/19/2021 AUD

Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks and pieces of the Tedeschi Trucks Band are out on the road on the Fireside Live tour this summer. The gang played a pair of shows in Murfreesboro, TN this pas week.

On the second evening, Marcus King joined Derek and Susan for an extended jam of “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.”

During the second set of the first night, Derek and Susan also treated Murfreesboro to some vintage ABB tunes including “Dreams” and “Whipping Post.”

Listen to Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi Kick Off Fireside Live Tour in Jacksonville – 6/11/2021 AUD

Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi made their post-pandemic debut last night in front of a hometown crowd at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL. The tour, named after their livestream series from earlier this year, features Derek and Susan along with various members of the Tedeschi Trucks Band.

The band kicked things off with a rip-roaring version of the Allman Brothers Band classic “Statesboro Blues.” The evening also included plenty of TTB tunes, some songs from Tedeschi’s catalogue and a handful of other covers including “Angel From Montgomery > Sugaree.”

Watch Tedeschi Trucks Band Cover The Beatles and Allman Brothers Band at the Beacon – 10/5/2019 Video

Swamp TV is back for it’s second installment of archival Tedeschi Trucks Band shows on TTB’s YouTube channel. The first release was from the band’s Red Rock’s show last year.

The second release comes a little later in the fall of 2019 during Tedeschi Trucks Band’s annual run at the Beacon Theatre. On TTB’s final night, Susan and Derek lead their band in originals, timeless covers like The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends,” and the Allman Brothers Band’s “Whipping Post” and were joined by a couple of friends. In the second set Joss Stone, Ricky Gordon and former Marcus King Band member DeShawn Alexander were welcomed on stage.

Watch Tedeschi Trucks Band’s Monster Show From Red Rocks – 7/26/2019 Video

With COVID-19 closing concert venues and eliminating gatherings of groups of 10 or more people, a Tedeschi Trucks Band show is not going to happen anytime soon. Luckily TTB has teamed up with nugs.net for Swamp Family TV. The series will “share as much music from TTB (and some from our friends, family and extended musical network) as your eyes and ears can handle.”

Tedeschi Trucks Band and the Wheels of Soul summer stop at Red Rocks last year is the first concert featured in the series. The show features a rocking set with awesome covers and a good collection of guests including Charlie Starr and the rest of Blackberry Smoke.
