John Kadlecik finished up a three night run at the legendary Gypsy Sally’s in Washington D.C. this past weekend. The third and final show of the run, dubbed “Fare Thee Well DC” was the final show at Gypsy Sally’s.

For the final show, John Kadlecik and a ton of friends sent Gypsy Sally’s off with a blast. The two sets and encore included a ton of Dead and Jerry Garcia Band material with notable sit ins from Ron Holloway, Jay Lane and more.

Listen to Dark Star Orchestra Recreate 76 Dead Show in Portland – 2/8/2019 AUD

Dark Star Orchestra, the Chicago born Grateful Dead tribute band has been faithfully recreating Grateful Dead setlists since 1997. They kicked off their latest tour in the Pacific Northwest and played a pair of gigs at the Roseland Theater in Portland, OR.

For the first night at the Roseland, DSO chose a classic 1976 show to recreate. The Dead played the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, IN on October 1, 1976 and assembled one hell of a setlist including a “Help > Slip > Frank” and a massive “Dancing in the Streets” sandwich in the second set.

DSO threw in the Jerry Garcia Band tune “Lonesome And A Long Way From Home” for good measure at the end of the show.

Watch Melvin Seals and JGB and Ron Holloway Blow Away the Hamilton

Melvin Seals and JGB are invading the northeast this fall during their tour. On Sunday, Melvin partnered with Captain Ron Holloway for their two sets at The Hamilton in Washington D.C.

Holloway sat in for the entire show as Melvin Seals and JGB soared through a vintage JGB set. In addition to the Jerry classics like “Run for the Roses” and “Tore Up Over You,” Melvin and JGB dove into Grateful Dead staples like “St. Stephen” and a massive “Eyes of the World.”  “Eyes of the World” is always an awesome journey, but with Captain Ron at the helm, this Eyes  was superb.

Listen to John Kadlecik and Ron Holloway Join Melvin Seals and JGB at the Stone Pony – 3/1/2018 Full Show AUD

Melvin Seals and JGB has a full slate in 2018 including more than a dozen festival appearances this summer. They just finished up their spring Run for the Roses tour with John Kadlecik.

At the beginning of March, Melvin and JGB hit up the Stone Pony in Asbury Park on the Jersey Shore. In addition to John Kadlecik, east coaster Ron Holloway lended his support to the gig as well.
