Listen to Tedeschi Trucks Band Boston Run Opener – 11/29/2018 Full Show AUD

Tedeschi Trucks Band have kicked off their annual run at the Orpheum Theater in the heart of Boston. The three night run will be there final three appearances of another massive year of touring. In 2018, TTB did 80+ shows including their popular Wheels of Soul tour and another blazing run at the Beacon last month.

For their first night in Boston, TTB delivered a classic setlist with covers sprinkled through plenty of original tunes. Tedeschi and Trucks jammed on Derek and the Dominoes, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Sly and the Family Stone among others.

Tedeschi Trucks Band finished their run at the Orpheum Theater in Boston in epic style last night. Not only was this the last show of the Boston run, but the last show of the run.

To close out the year, Derek, Susan and the gang took a couple of Allman Brother Band tunes to task. While technically a Blind Willie McTell cover, TTB opened the second set with a smokin’ version of the Allman Brothers standard “Statesboro Blues” and closed the second set with Whipping Post. Maybe it was for Butch or Gregg, Trucks reaches down deep and puts something a little extra on the “Whipping Post” solo.

Listen to Tedeschi Trucks Bands’ Tribute to Tom Petty in LA – 11/11/2017 Full Show AUD

One of the most tirelessly touring acts today, Tedeschi Trucks Band is back on the road in the West Coast. This past weekend, TTB made their way to Orpheum in LA for a pair of gigs.

Among the standard covers that Tedeschi Trucks Band does during shows like Bobby “Blue” Bland’s “I Pity the Fool” and The Coasters’ “Let’s Go Get Stoned,” Derek, Susan and the gang busted out Tom Petty’s “You Don’t Know How It Feels.”

The short and succinct tribute to the late iconic rocker was perfect.

Front Row: Watch Tedeschi Trucks Band Cover Ray Charles and The Rolling Stones in Simsbury

The Wheel’s of Soul tour continued it’s journey on the east last night with a stop in Simsbury, CT at Simsbury Meadows. After the The Wood Brothers and Hot Tuna took their turns on stage, Tedeschi Trucks Band played a set of their blazing blues and soul for Connecticut.

In addition to a collections of originals, TTB played some covers including a cover of Ray Charles’ “Let’s Go Get Stoned” that wasn’t on the setlist:

As with other shows on the Wheel’s of Soul tour, the Wood Brothers laid a hand during TTB’s set and sat in for a beautiful cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Sweet Virginia.”
