Gov’t Mule landed in New Orleans during Jazz Fest this weekend for the spring tour finale. While Mule wasn’t officially part of Jazz Fest, the Orpheum was home to a ton of Jazz Fest style collaborations.
The special guests started arriving towards the end of the first set with the Levee Horns who worked with Warren on The Last Waltz 40 Tour for The Band’s “The Shape I’m In.”
In the second set, Alvin Youngblood Hart and the Levee Horns joined the Mule for another rocking version of Little Feat’s “Spanish Moon.” Towards the end of the set, the guests started lining up for their turn on stage. Warren enlisted three guitar slingers to finish out the set and encore including Scott Sharrard, Robert Randolph and Eric McFadden.
