It’s been six long months since Phish has hit the stage. Trey treated us to some solo acoustic shows this spring and then TAB hit the road for a pretty extensive tour, but last night we got the real deal—the P-fish kicked off their three-night Chicago run at Northerly Island.

Despite practicing for the last few days up the road in Milwaukee, Trey and the boys were still a bit rusty and delivered a solid, but not exceptional tour opener. What was interesting about the show were the four debuts—two covers and two originals distributed between the two sets and encore.

Despite the cobwebs, the show had some highlights including “Wolfman’s Brother,” the “Everything’s Right” Phish debut and the “Harry Hood” with a reprise of the show opener “What’s The Use?”

Looking forward to the rest of the summer tour and the Baker’s Dozen at MSG!
