Despite LOCKN’ being the last time Dead & Co, the boys sounded in tip-top shape last night. The killer setlist last night included “Shakedown Street,” “Stella Blue” and a second set closing “Help > Slip > Frank.”

Thanks to Dead and Company for streaming the first tunes of each of the sets including the massive “China Cat Sunflower > Cumberland Blues” to kick off the second set. Mayer’s velvety tones, Bobby’s vocals, Oteil smiling from ear to ear—Dead and Company is back!

Phil Lesh and Friends set out last night on a three night run to recreate three historic shows in Grateful Dead history. Dubbed “ON THIS DAY IN DEAD HISTORY,” the three shows will be recreations of three historic Grateful Dead shows that took place on the same date. Last night Phil and the gang recreate 11/14/1987 at Long Beach Arena, in Long Beach, CA.

Lesh was joined by Anders Osborne, Stu Allen, Steve Molitz & Nathan Graham in the Grate Room for the show.

The show kicked off with a smokin’ “Shakedown Street” and Phil and the crew never slowed down!

Listen to Phil Lesh and Jimmy Herring’s Epic Capitol Theater Finale – 11/2/2018 Full Show AUD

Phil Lesh capped off a three night run at the Cap this past week with a monster show featuring Jimmy Herring and The Terrapin Family Band. The first night of the run was with Twiddle and then Karl Denson and Jimmy Herring joined Phil and the Terrapin Family band on the second night of the run.

While Jimmy Herring joining Phil is always a treat, it was the young guns that really shined on night three. Graeme Lesh and James Ross both showed not only that they can hold their own with one of the best guitarists in the jam scene, but that they can take the lead.

The first set has some fun covers including “Sultans of Swing” and the Boss’ “Atlantic City.” The second set is where things got wild. Check out the vintage run of “St. Stephen > Whole Lotta Love > St. Stephen > The Eleven > St. Stephen > Morning Dew.” Wow.

Watch Keller Williams Celebrate Jerry Garcia’s Birthday at Garcia’s – 8/1/2018 Full Show Video

Keller Williams, the barefoot jam-band journeyman set up shop at Garcia’s, the smaller of two venues at The Capitol Theater for a Jerry Garcia Birthday party. The sold-out show was webcast for free thanks to Relix.

Keller is very familiar with the Grateful Dead catalogue as he two of his side projects in the past have included Grateful Grass and Grateful Gospel.

From the opening “Run for the Roses,” you knew that this was going to be a very special evening of GD and Jerry tunes. Keller went on to share plenty of Grateful and Jerry classics. Check out the second set opening “Help on the Way > Eyes of the World > Franklins Tower.”
