Listen to Eric Krasno Join Tedeschi Trucks Band for Blazing “Liz Reed” at the Beacon – 10/2/2019 AUD

Tedeschi Trucks Band continued their annual Beacon Theater run on Wednesday night with their fourth night of the run. The third night of the run featured killer sit ins from Nels Cline and Luther Dickinson. There were more fireworks on night four.

Halfway through their set, TTB welcomed Eric Krasno for a pair of songs and then Robert Randolph joined for a pair of songs as well.

Eric Krasno reunited with Derek Trucks later in the evening for an epic “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” that clocked in at 18 minutes. Earlier in the week, Krasno jammed on “Liz Reed” further downtown at the Blue Note residency.

Sit-ins from Mark Whitfield and DeShawn Alexander capped off the guest-filled evening.

Listen to Tedeschi Trucks Band Boston Run Opener – 11/29/2018 Full Show AUD

Tedeschi Trucks Band have kicked off their annual run at the Orpheum Theater in the heart of Boston. The three night run will be there final three appearances of another massive year of touring. In 2018, TTB did 80+ shows including their popular Wheels of Soul tour and another blazing run at the Beacon last month.

For their first night in Boston, TTB delivered a classic setlist with covers sprinkled through plenty of original tunes. Tedeschi and Trucks jammed on Derek and the Dominoes, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Sly and the Family Stone among others.

Watch Marcus King Join Tedeschi Trucks Band for Sly & Family Stone Medley at Great Woods – 7/9/2018 Full Show AUD

The Wheels of Soul tour rolled into Mansfield, MA and played at the Xfinity Center, formerly known as Great Woods. As with the tour stops before, the Drive-By Truckers and The Marcus King Band opened up for Tedeschi Trucks Band.

The young and extremely talented Marcus King lent his vocal and guitar talents to TTB’s encore. King joined in on a Sly and the Family Stone medley that included “Sing A Simple Song > Want to Take You Higher.”

Watch Marcus King, The Wood Brothers & Tedeschi Trucks Band’s “Sweet Virginia” Encore at the Beacon

Tedeschi Trucks Band reached their halfway point in their Beacon October residency last night. Night three had it’s fair share of surprises just like the other two shows. Surprise guests included The Wood Brothers, Carey Frank and guitar virtuosos Jimmy Vivino and Marcus King.

The encore brought out all the evening’s guests except for Vivino for a tight and beautiful version of the Rolling Stones’ “Sweet Virginia.” The Rolling Stones’ classic tune was the goto cover for the The Wood Brothers and Tedeschi Trucks Band during the Wheels of Soul tour this summer. The short but searing addition of Marcus King on guitar added a little extra spice to the cover.

Listen to Tedeschi Trucks Band & John Medeski Tear Up the Beacon – 10/6/2017 Full Show AUD

The long awaited return of Tedeschi Trucks Band to the Beacon Theater for their annual autumn run has come to an end. Last night, TTB with the help of a couple of friends and opening act, The Greyhounds. The TTB Beacon run carries on the long-standing tradition that Derek Trucks was a part of for so many years—the spring Allman Brothers Band run at the Beacon.

As with Beacon run’s in the past, TTB welcomed two very special guests to the stage last night. First up was Carey Frank, who had subbed in all summer for Kofi Burbridge. Kofi has regained his health and strength and is now back with the band. Frank sat in for the tune “Chevrolet” early on in the show.

The second special guest came out towards the end of the set. Jazz keyboardist, John Medeski sat in for the last four songs of the set, totaling nearly 40 minutes of stage time. The song’s included TTB concert staples like “Get Out of My Life Woman,” “Let Me Get By” and “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.” TTB and Medeski also teamed up for “Hudson,” which was written by Medeski and John Scofield.
