Our friends at Live for Live Music just posted excellent pro-footage of a few highlights from “The Road Goes On Forever: Celebrating The Music of the Allman Brothers.” The Allman Brothers tribute happened back on September 23rd as part of the Brooklyn Comes Alive festival.
The ABB tribute was the crown jewel of Brooklyn Comes Alive this past fall and included a hell of a line-up. Longtime guitarist/vocalist/musical director—Scott Sharrard led a star-studded band that included Al Schnier and Vinnie Amico (moe.), legendary drummer Bernard Purdie, super-talented percussionist Nate Werth (Snarky Puppy, Ghost Note), Gregg Allman Band bassist Brett Bass, and The Motet’s Joey Porter to create a high-flying tribute to the Allman Brothers Band that won’t be soon forgotten. Eric Krasno (Lettuce, Soulive), Rob Compa (Dopapod), Roosevelt Collier (The Lee Boys), and Brandon “Taz” Niederauer.
In addition to the footage of Eric Krasno taking “Liz Reed” to task, Live for Live Music also posted “Dreams,” “Midnight Rider” and a scorching “Whipping Post” with guitar prodigy Brandon “Taz” Niederauer.
