My Morning Jacket’s performances have been few and far between since their absolutely stunning LOCKN’ performance back in 2016. Frontman Jim James has been touring and MMJ has reunited for their annual One Big Holiday paradise excursion, but the band has had a proper tour in years.

James and MMW returned to the stage for the first time since March last night for their first of two shows at Red Rocks Amphitheater.

MMJ’s 17 song set and encore included tunes spanning their 20 year career. One of the highlights of the night was the sprawling 27 minute take on the epic “Dondante.”
