Widespread Panic has been foreshadowing a Black Sabbath Halloween show for the last couple of weeks by trotting out a Sabbath cover for their encore every night. While Broomfield did get their taste of Sabbath with “Iron Man,” the first encore of the evening was a song that WSP hasn’t played since Halloween, 1997—”L.A. Woman” by the Doors.
PanicStream.com reports that there have been a whopping 1,462 shows since WSP played the Doors classic last. Believe me, it was well worth the wait.
Thanks to D. Fries for the recording!
