The Black Crowes, one of the seminal blues rock bands of the last three decades, dropped some hints that the rift between them had been gapped and they were going to have a reunion tour next summer. The Crowes’ Shake Your Money Maker LP will celebrate it’s 30th birthday next year.

Yesterday, Howard Stern had the bad on his show and they revealed that they were in fact reuniting and that they would be playing that night at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC.

Since The Black Crowes broke up, Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson have each gone their separate ways with successful projects including The Chris Robinson Brotherhood and Magpie Salute. Chris Robinson got the itch last year and formed a Black Crowes cover band of sort called As the Crow Flies featuring Marcus King.

At the show, the Crowes looked and sounded great. The band was tight, especially for being on hiatus since February 8, 2014. Most importantly, Rich and Chris Robinson’s chemistry was strong and the concert ended without incident. The band played Shake Their Money Maker in it’s entirety.
